When we learned a few months ago that the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution would be retiring from Mitsubishi's model lineup, we were close to heartbreak. This majestic vehicle, that had taken home awards and rally championship titles, gone from the world? But, with increasing demand for SUVs, crossovers, and hybrid vehicles, Mitsubishi is switching their focus away from rally cars.
Fear not, though, fans. Because the Mitsubishi Evo will be going out with a bang.
Rumors are swirling, with a fair amount of confidence, that Mitsubishi will be releasing a limited number of "Special Action Models", about 2,000 or 2,500, to the US exclusively. We are excited at the thought that a few of them might make it out to Glendale, CA!
We at Glendale Mitsubishi have been speculating about what sort of features the special edition might be packing. A beefier engine with more horsepower? Performance handling to accommodate that increase in power? Awesome new specialty features to really make the car a superior model in its class?
